Contrary to many popular books on the subject, measuring acid/alkaline balance (pH) is not simple and is more like shooting at a moving and constantly changing target. The body is designed to maintain the systems of blood, urine and saliva within specific pH ranges. Home testing of urine and saliva are not always adequate to determine the body's overall state of acidity or alkalinity. Variations of blood pH can be interpreted in multiple ways.
