As I write this first of all I really don't want anyone to feel sorry for me since my condition is basically self inflected. On April 30th 2010 I was under the influence of alcohol  when i crashed my car into a tree. I wasn't wearing a seatbelt. I now suffer from chronic pain in my hands knees and feet. I tried the spinal cord simulator implant worked great for a month then it failed made my pain worse. so a year later I had it removed. Now i have a baclefen  pump implant so now I no longer get insane spasms in my legs. But this doesn't do anything for my pain I'm on no type of meds for pain at moment other then the baclefen pump I need help so bad I'm so depressed I literally spend 24 hours a day in my room in bed that's how bad the pain isOuchOuchOuch any advice on pain meds !!!!

Hi Efrain,

I'm going to assume, as dangerous as that is :), that since you've had a spinal stimulator you have already tried all the standard pain meds.

I've been prescribed and using medical marijuana, mmj, for several years. It helps me more than the prescription meds i took for years. There are many ways to use it, some which produce no side effects or "high". Topical lotions with mmj concentrate in them, work amazingly for me and many others.

If mmj is legal where you live, maybe it's an option you haven't yet tried.

Hi.
I know it is hard. I have fibro, I have it in my hands and feet.
I have depressive disorder too. Chronic pain and depression are the terrible twins.

I always have low level depression even though I am on medication. The medication has helped me bunches.

What really helps me is to make certain to be up a portion of the day. I get dressed, do one or two chores and go out to do an errand/have lunch out. I also see a therapist weekly to help sort out feelings out.

I believe seeing psychologist, primary doctor, being involved in a support group either online or in person, along with staying active some how does help with depression and helps me to focus my attention in a different direction.
