Hello Nine, and welcome to our website,

If you are unsure of posting here, please read this thread by John, our Sysop: endorses, an electronic on-line pain journal which can help you to monitor and track your pain and record your medications. You can print out this information for your health care providers and shortly will be able to allow them access to this with your permission.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me, or John Lug our Sysop, or any of the CPS Support Team members. To do that, simply click under our name and you will see a drop down menu. Click on "Send Private Message" and we will get it and respond to you.

Again welcome, and we do look forward to getting to know you better. Stevie

Please donate to help continue to help others.

My journey with chronic pain began over 30 years ago, while as a young nurse working spinal rehab, I injured my back lifting a patient. I am now fused from L2-S1. I have multiple thoracic and cervical issues. I'm a retired RN/PA and I know and understand the frustrations on both ends of the treatment spectrum of dealing with CP. It's been my goal since 2008, when we started this site, to reach out and help as many people in pain as possible. We will continue the fight as long as we can. Please, if you can help us continue to help you and others, donate. Thank you.

I'm new to all this nerve pain etc, most overwhelming as each surgeon has a different opinion. Just a brief history of what has and had happened. Back Dec 8 i slipped and fall at work broke my etc: went back to work about 8 weeks later modified duties my first job out i experienced that my left leg was completely numb. Doctor said it was positional get out of the tractor try not sit to long...well i did that for a month and it just kept doing the same thing just numbness. I seen the surgeon a mouth later he gave me t2 for pain relief but the numbness continue and pain started to radiate and burning sensations up and down my left leg. The doctors and surgeons continued to believe it was related to the hip and said move around more. April 12 seen the surgeon and described the pain i was experiencing and he order and x ray than a c t scan, he said it looks like i have degenerative discs. My therapists felt that the pain i was endure was not concurrent with degenerative disks. Another CT scan reveals i have 3 herniated disks 1 bulging and 2 pinched nerves. My whole lower body is now numb and burns  and pain moves around worse a night. I'm on Gabapentin it helps at most at least takes the edge off. This happened at work while doing the modified return to work program and or it happened when i broke my hip. Next is the mri next month and and emg is ordered....Mentally drained not much i am and have always been a very active and healthy ? not sure.

Regards Thanks for the site as it reminds me that I am not alone in this suffering.
