I have a simple muscle relaxer medicine I've used for 20 years and got refilled on February 10th, but because we couldn't get there to pick it up until February 13th, CVS is telling me that I can't get it filled again until May 13th.  In other words they are denying my prescription based on some fabricated CVS rule according to their own pharmacist.  Has anyone found a decent pharmacy that doesn't victimize end stage patients like me even further?
Ankylosing spondylitis resulting in fusion of entire cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and SI joints, osteoporosis, 5 compression fractures, severe stenosis of spinal cord & nerve root compression, cervical myelopathy, radiculopathy, bruise & permanent deformation of spinal cord, incomplete spinal cord injury, postlaminectomy syndrome of cervical region, chronic nerve and orthopedic severe pain, and bilateral carpal tunnel. Asthma, GERD, high blood pressure, high tryglycrides, diverticulosis, recurrent pneumonia, anemia, hypertension, chronic dry eye and mouth. Need hip & knee replacement and fusion of both feet. Already had 11 surgeries including 5 orthopedic & 1 neurosurgery.

This just doesn’t make sense. I’ve used the same CVS for years. They keep filled prescriptions on the shelf for up to 2 weeks. Maybe rules have changed?

Please contact the manager of the pharmacy and ask what the heck is going on. They may need to call your Dr to get this mess figured out. I’m afraid that in this current state of affairs who knows what will happen at any given pharmacy. So I have no suggestions. I would suggest that you get this drug scheduled for a 90 day supply. I use Baclofen and my CVS took it upon themselves to get my prescription filled for 90 days to save me time and money. So, unless your muscle relaxer is controlled such as diazepam, I don’t understand what is going on!!

My journey with chronic pain began over 30 years ago, while as a young nurse working spinal rehab, I injured my back lifting a patient. I am now fused from L2-S1. I have multiple thoracic and cervical issues. I'm a retired RN/PA and I know and understand the frustrations on both ends of the treatment spectrum of dealing with CP. It's been my goal since 2008, when we started this site, to reach out and help as many people in pain as possible. We will continue the fight as long as we can. Please, if you can help us continue to help you and others, donate. Thank you.

Sorry to hear that, Jeff. That's just plain buffoonery right there. Did you switch pharmacies btw?
