I’m unsure if I could go through the puppy stage again—-remember those days well—-but the crate is a really good idea, especially when you aren’t home to supervise!!! We had a wonderful Welsh Springer spaniel who just hated car trips and I can’t even tell you how many times we did cross country trips with her. It didn’t get better even with tranquilizers from the Vet. But she was the love of my life and the smartest dog we ever had.

Here’s hoping that you and Annie have many wonderful, and less painful years together.

Please donate to help Chronicpainsite.com continue to help others.

My journey with chronic pain began over 30 years ago, while as a young nurse working spinal rehab, I injured my back lifting a patient. I am now fused from L2-S1. I have multiple thoracic and cervical issues. I'm a retired RN/PA and I know and understand the frustrations on both ends of the treatment spectrum of dealing with CP. It's been my goal since 2008, when we started this site, to reach out and help as many people in pain as possible. We will continue the fight as long as we can. Please, if you can help us continue to help you and others, donate. Thank you.

Annie did great in the car. She laid on the back seat with her bed on it and we stopped often giving her time to stretch and sniff.

She loves our fenced backyard. She entertains herself. She is stubborn to come when called, which doesn't amuse my husband any as he is impatient about that. I let her stay out as long as she likes I check on her. She amuses her own self well.

Today I see Dr. A. He has an associate now who works in his office. I have been going to him since 2006 or so. I am glad to not have to change. I had blood work done last week so I am going to find out how things are today. I am sure my liver enzymes are a bit elevated as they always are because of the medications I use.

Good luck at the appointment today Tammie. It’s great to know that Annie has properly taken over your hearts and fits in so well.

My liver and pancreatic enzymes were a bit elevated. My cholesterol was great, never has been a problem before. Iron Saturation and potassium are low.
I saw Dr. A, we talked about my eating habits and how important it is to make changes and follow through to lose some weight.

After leaving I decided I am going to do this. So since then I have been watching my diet get better and better and I have lost 10 lbs.

I have cut out all the junk I had been eating, started eating more fruits and vegetables. Stopped nighttime snacking.

It sure makes a difference in how I feel. Since cutting out unnecessary sugar out of my diet my pain IS lower. My husband isn't real encouraging.

I am hoping to lose much more but I know this will be a journey that is going to be a bit slow. Im okay with that.

I have an app on my cell phone that I use that has a coach, I record my weight, food intake, and I can read articles about losing weight and the psychology behind losing weight.
